The book Tankemysteriet (Mystery of Thought) is inspired by the method “The Work of Byron Katie” – also known as Inquiry Based Stress Reduction. It provides access to ways of dealing with stressful thoughts, on your own or in company. Several adult readers have commented that by reading Tankemysteriet, they really understood what The Work is about for the first time.
The book, although written with children between 9 and 12 in mind, opens for talk about thoughts and feelings, for answering questions and ways of asking them. But it is also suitable for reading on your own. Tankemysteriet is an exciting, fun, tender and thought-provoking story, richly illustrated.
THE SUMMER VACATION before seventh grade is the worst, so far, according to Saga. Dad just moved out of the house, all the other girls seem to be in love with someone and it’s way too hot outdoors.
But then Sagan meets Neo, a boy who has just moved to her area. He says he knows a way to transform stressful thoughts: by passing various levels, as in a video game. And Saga has a very stressful thought. She believes that dad broke up from her and her family because he is angry with her.
But is it possible to transform such thoughts? And what happens if you try? Suddenly things are not as depressing as they seem to be, and somewhere there is a magic portal to be found.
COMMENTS ABOUT THE BOOK
”Tankemysteriet is a fun book with many reflections on how a parent´s thoughtless comments might hurt a child, but how it is possible for 13-year old Saga to turn the story around.”

“A little masterpiece. Absolutely wonderful! I read the book loud to some fifth
graders and when we had finished they said: Oh no, is it finished already? Is
there a sequel?”
